Verizon Motorola DROID X is one of the most popular Android devices, but
so far DROID X users were stuck with earlier versions of the Google
platform. Now, Verizon has published information on the next update on
his website, so it's as official as it gets. The only thing yet to an
exact date.
The 4.3-inch X DROID Motorola will receive a host
of new features gingerbread including improved copy and paste, a
download manager application and the new user interface. The update,
romantically called 4.5.596.MB810.Verizon.en.US, will address 112MB of
space if your current version is 2.3.340.
Verizon has estimated
an average of 20 to 40 minutes to download and up to 10 minutes to
install the update, but we also like to add a word of caution for users
with real devices, which could take its time until it was confirmed that
their device is fully compatible. impatient people can navigate to
Settings> About phone> System Updates Download> to see if the
update has appeared for download.
