Starbucks is to install Wi-Fi hotspots in all its 687 UK cafés, with free access for all iPhone users. Access will be included as part of the iPhone’s unlimited Wi-Fi allowance, with the first hotspots going live this week.
Chris Bruce, chief executive of BT Openzone said that Starbucks’ Wi-Fi should prove very popular.
“Use of our Wi-Fi doubled last year and coffee shops are increasingly popular as a third place to work or log on to the Internet,” he said.
